Trump Endorses "Eric" in Race Where Both Candidates Named Eric

Donald Trump has endorsed “Eric” in the Missouri Senate Republican primary, which takes place today and includes two people named Eric. This led to both of the major candidate's named Eric, Eric Greitens, and Eric Schmitt, to take credit for the endorsement. Trump posted a long message to Truth Social that ended, “I am therefore proud to announce that ERIC has my Complete and Total Endorsement!” Greitens went to Twitter following the news and said, “I’m honored to receive President Trump’s endorsement. I’ve been the true MAGA Champion fighting against the RINO establishment backing Schmitt from the beginning.” Eric Schmitt also accepted the endorsement saying, “I’m grateful for President Trump’s endorsement.” Trump did this to boost up his mediocre endorsement record and claim victory no matter who wins. But it’s remarkable to see both candidates respond in the ways they did and show such little respect to the voters.
