Trump calls for police to be de-funded

Failed former President Donald Trump is now calling for the police to be defunded, despite complaining for years about how some of the left wanted to do this. This is a reaction to Trump getting arrested earlier this week by New York authorities in connection with his alleged hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels back in 2016. Trump posted on Truth Social, “REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS SHOULD DEFUND THE DOJ AND FBI UNTIL THEY COME TO THEIR SENSES. THE DEMOCRATS HAVE TOTALLY WEAPONIZED LAW ENFORCEMENT IN OUR COUNTRY AND ARE VICIOUSLY USING THIS ABUSE OF POWER TO INTERFERE WITH OUR ALREADY UNDER SIEGE ELECTIONS!” Trump is not the only Republican calling for defunding the police, as Congressman Jim Jordan did the same earlier this week over the same issue. Republicans are clearly being hypocrites on this matter but, of course, their voters won’t see or care about the obvious contradiction.
