Trump is suing Michael Cohen because he claims he violated the confidentiality agreement by writing his tell-all book. The book mentioned the hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels. It has been pointed out that the lawsuit is almost pointless because it would mean that what Cohen said is true, and Trump has lied under oath.
