Remarkably, Donald Trump is acting as the voice of reason when speaking to far right-wing outlets and personalities about the COVID vaccines. Trump did an interview with One America News Network and was softly confronted by the reporter, Dan Ball, who tried to simultaneously give Trump credit for developing the vaccines while also claiming that they’re causing dangerous side effects.

To his credit, Trump was able to dismantle the propaganda. He said, “I think the vaccine has saved tens of millions of people throughout the world. I’ve had absolutely no side effects. I’ve had it like other people have had it, nothing special.” More than anything else, Trump wants to talk about the safety and efficacy of the vaccines as a way to take credit for Operation Warp Speed. But whatever the reason is, it’s good that he’s doing it and offering some pushback against these conspiratorial networks that many of his followers watch on a daily basis.
