Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed that she was “attacked” at a restaurant by an “insane” woman and her adult son who screamed at her and her staff members. Greene took to Twitter to express her anger at the incident, writing, “They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views. They are self-righteous, insane, and completely out of control. I was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons. People used to respect others even if they had different views. But not anymore. Our country is gone.” Greene is now being ridiculed as a total hypocrite on this issue since just a few years ago she accosted gun safety advocate David Hogg on the streets of Washington D.C. Furthermore, the term “attacked” that Greene used to describe the incident at the restaurant is an obvious exaggeration, as there was no physical altercation reported.
