Joe Rogan has been getting a bunch of scrutiny in recent months over his refusal to get the COVID vaccine and in some cases spreading anti-vax talking points. Rogan was taken to task on this topic by Australian media personality Josh Zepps, who appeared on his podcast earlier this week.

The two got to talking about the possibility of the vaccines causing myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle), particularly in young men and boys. Zepps astutely pointed out that the risk of getting myocarditis is higher from getting COVID than getting the COVID vaccine and pointed Rogan to a peer-reviewed study showing this.

Expressing resistance to the new information, Joe tried moving the goalposts before saying, “that is not what I’ve read before, but also it’s like, well, even when we’re reading these things, it’s like, what are we getting this from?” This is a common reaction for people who are set in their beliefs and part of why it’s so difficult to unravel some of these anti-vax talking points.
