Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia has been under fire for tweets she posted before campaigning to become a US congresswoman. One example is when she called gun control activist David Hogg a “coward” weeks after the Parkland shooting. As an added bonus, Greene included that Hogg was receiving “George Soros funding.” In February of 2019, Greene posted about how Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib should have to retake their oaths on a bible instead of a koran. Greene has also claimed that school shootings like Sandy Hook were “inside jobs” to garner support for passing gun control.
Greene, in the past, responded to controversies about her social media postings by trying to blame other people. "Over the years, I've had teams of people manage my pages. Many posts have been liked. Many posts have been shared. Some did not represent my views." This is a bogus explanation since the tweets were totally in line with the conspiratorial views she has pushed ever since launching her congressional campaign. Now there is a movement by some Democrats in Congress to censure Greene and to try to kick her out of office just one month into her term.
