Fox News reported on the intense heat wave hitting many parts of the country at the moment, but conveniently left out climate change from the coverage. One graphic Fox put up read “Excess Heat: Parts of U.S. Face Warnings and Advisories” and another read “Exceptional Drought: Arid Conditions Carry Tinderbox Effect” but there was no talk about the causes of these extreme weather conditions. Supposed hard news anchor Bret Baier spoke extensively about heat issues across Europe that in some cases are causing fires, and he said nothing about climate change being to blame. While it’s true that any single anomalous weather event isn’t proof of climate change, the increasing rate at which these are happening and the records that continue to get set are a mountain of evidence that indicate this is a serious problem.
