Dr. Anthony Fauci drops the hammer on Republican Senator Ted Cruz on Face the Nation when asked about Cruz' recent statement that he should be "prosecuted." In response, Fauci said, "I have to laugh at that. What happened on January 6th, senator?" He also lumped Rand Paul into the "nonsense" that is "just noise" distracting from the pandemic response. When Margaret Brennan asked Fauci if she thought he was being made out to be a "scapegoat to deflect from President Trump," Fauci replied, "of course. You'd have to be asleep not to figure that one out."
