Only three Republican senators have announced that they will be voting for Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Ketanji Brown Jackson. The senators include Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, and Mitt Romney of Utah. Supreme Court nominations have become so brazenly partisan over the past decade, with justices now only getting approved by a slim margin. Most Republican senators have come up with bogus excuses for why they can’t vote for her. Roy Blunt of Missouri argued that Judge Jackson’s view of the Constitution is too “flexible” and that he’d like to see someone picked who has a more originalist perspective. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said he couldn’t support KBJ because he considers her a progressive activist. Judge Jackson is by many metrics the most competent and qualified judge to ever get selected to the Supreme Court, and they're really shouldn’t be such a partisan divide on this issue.
