Chris Wark -- How to Beat Cancer and Stay Healthy
Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with cancer? Statistics say one in two women, and one in three men, will be given that diagnosis at some point in their life. Our guest today, author and health coach, Chris Wark was just 26 years old when doctors discovered a golf-ball size tumor in his colon. After surgery, Chris decided that he would go against his oncologist’s advice and not take part in chemotherapy or radiation. After deep prayer and consideration, he decided that he would radically change his diet and explore natural healing modalities. Diet and lifestyle therapy show that healing can indeed occur. So why would doctors not share this information? Could it be because of the pharmaceutical industry and their influence? Traditional Western doctors are not typically required to study nutrition as part of their training. In today’s interview, Chris Wark shares his ideas about living a healthy lifestyle, eating organic and raw food, exercising more, and reducing stress. He further discusses the profits of the pharmaceutical companies and the business of the cancer industry. He talks about how other countries are more open to alternative therapies and offer medical freedom to choose various treatments. Chris also talked all about the importance of fruits and vegetables in a healthy diet, while sharing recipes and ideas from his cookbook, “Beat Cancer Kitchen,” including the healing properties of juicing. He supports a holistic way of healing to empower our bodies to heal. He worked with naturopathic doctors, as well as an integrative oncologist, while radically changing his lifestyle to include forgiveness, gratitude, and a more loving, balanced mindset. He shows it IS possible to heal from disease and thrive. He shares his findings and offers hope to help those struggling with disease. He includes plenty of resources in his books and through his website. Info: ChrisBeatCancer.com.
