Explainer: What Political Upheaval in Pakistan Means for Rest of the World
Pakistan plunged into a political crisis after the Prime Minister Imran Khan dissolved parliament ahead of a vote on a no-confidence motion in which he was widely expected to lose. The stand-off has thrown the country of 220 million people into a full-blown constitutional crisis; both fueling anger among the opposition; and deepening concerns about economic and political stability in Islamabad.
