Donald Trump is expected by many to be running for president again in the 2024 election cycle. However, he’s developing an excuse to possibly avoid launching such a campaign. Trump has increasingly been talking about health being a significant factor in whether he’ll run, particularly since he’s not going to be a young guy at age 78. Recently, in an interview with the Washington Post, Trump even said, “you always have to talk about health. You look like you’re in good health, but tomorrow, you get a letter from a doctor saying come see me again. That’s not good when they use the word again.” Ultimately, Trump won’t run if he doesn’t get the sense that he can win the presidency and certainly if he doesn’t think he can beat Ron DeSantis in a Republican primary. This health reason may be the same excuse he needs to bail last minute if he decides not to go through with what would be his third presidential run.
