History of Reparations with Kristen Mullen

Author, professor, and activist Kristen Mullen speaks with Free Speech TV on the latest edition of Just Solutions about the history of reparations and what it means for Black people today.

The fight continues to have compensation paid to the survivors and descendants of those impacted by the Tulsa Race Massacre and the Wilmington Massacre and Coup. Racism and discrimination continues to choke economic opportunity for African Americans at nearly every turn. Kirsten Mullen confronts these injustices head on and makes the case for economic reparations for U.S. descendants of slavery in the new book From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century.

FSTV’s Just Solutions features inspiring conversations with activists, community leaders, and others working to make our world a better place. We discuss the many challenges we are facing, while exploring the solutions emerging from the grassroots.
