Former White House counsel Norm Eisen predicts that Donald Trump will be prosecuted in Georgia for his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in the state. When Trump called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and asked him to “find 11,780 votes” that didn’t exist, he may have broken a state law against election tampering. This is precisely what District Attorney Fani Willis is investigating, and earlier this year, she mentioned the decision about whether to indict the former president would be coming before the end of June. Norm Eisen told CNN about the investigation, “I think the evidence is solid for a prosecution in the state of Georgia, where the Atlanta DA has convened a special grand jury.” Eisen joins a growing list of officials who are predicting an indictment is coming and it may not be too long until we find out whether it will come.
