They also go to Los Angeles, where this program is produced, to bring you a conversation they had with indigenous organizer Lydia Ponce, followed by a 16-year old high school student who attended the strike action in Pershing Square in downtown LA. On stage in Los Angeles was actress and long-time activist Jane Fonda.
In New York City, where the largest north American action took place, Swedish teen activist Greta Thunberg gave a lengthy speech and on Monday she addressed the UN climate conference with a powerful and emotional 5-minute speech.
