Uprising with Sonali - April 16, 2015

Chenjerai Kumanyika analyses breaking news of the day. Plus, Sonali Kolhatkar and Bipasha Shom report from Los Angeles, one of gatherings of the largest ever mass demonstrations of low wage workers in the US, which took place in hundreds of cities yesterday. Then, independent filmmakers of colors, including Yoruba Richen, are fighting back against what they see as an effort by PBS to try to sideline their work. And, mass protests against the world's largest optical telescope on Mauna Kea are being led by native Hawaiian activists. Two demonstrators talk about why they oppose the Thirty Meter Telescope.
