As events in Washington, D.C., mark the 70th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, we look at the Trump administration’s push for NATO countries to increase military spending. During an Oval Office meeting Tuesday with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, President Trump demanded Germany and other NATO countries increase their military spending from 2 to 4% of GDP. We speak with Joe Cirincione, president of the global security foundation Ploughshares Fund, in a web exclusive interview.
