Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Ro Khanna introduced the BEZOS Act that would tax large corporations like Amazon and Walmart for every dollar their low-wage workers receive in government assistance. In part two of our interview with U.K.-based journalist James Bloodworth, he describes how he went undercover an Amazon warehouse “picker” and found impoverishment and mistreatment. His new book is Hired: Six Months Undercover in Low-Wage Britain.
