Raise The Wage To Raise My Son

San Jose residents will be voting on Measure D, an initiative to raise the minimum wage in the city to $10.00, an increase of two dollars from its current levels. Proponents argue the increase is needed for low-income residents who are struggling to keep up with rising cost of living expenses in what has already been named one of the costliest cities to live in the nation. De-Bug media producers, some who are minimum wage workers by day, produced videos, photo essays, first person essays, and infographics to help share the story of what it means to live in San Jose on the current minimum wage and what an increase would mean to the 40,000 minimum wage workers.
