Many corporations formerly backing the American Legislative and Exchange Council have announced that they will no longer fund ALEC. Meanwhile, at a recent NRA annual meeting chief lobbyist Chris Cox said the group does not apologize for its support of ALEC's backed legislation of "stand your ground."
