Massive Fracking Expansion Spells Bad News for Planet and People

GUEST: Alison Grass, Research Director with Food & Water Watch and Food & Water Action and author of the new report, The Fracking Endgame: Locked Into Plastics, Pollution, and Climate Chaos.

BACKGROUND: At precisely the moment when the industry needed to ramp down the large scale extraction of fossil fuels in order to save humanity, the fracking industry in the US has doubled down against climate and environmental justice activists and dramatically expanded its infrastructure and operations.

A new report by Food and Water Watch examines that expansion and finds that hydraulic fracturing has a new goal - to flood the planet with plastics despite it already being at a saturation point.
