Free Speech TV was on-site in San Diego, CA at the US-Mexico border to cover the nonviolent direct action on December 10, 2018 organized by American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) and the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, demanding that migrants and refugees seeking asylum in the U.S. be allowed into the country. The direct action, known as "Love Knows No Borders," featured leaders, activists, organizers, and clergy members insisting that migration and asylum are basic human rights. Several clergy members and activists were arrested in an effort to end the militarization of the border.
Featuring Pedro Rios of AFSC, Cherokee traditional medicine practitioner Coyote Marie Hunter River, AFSC Human Migration & Mobility Director Kristin Kumpf, and Rev. Deborah Lee of the Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity.
