How Indigenous Leaders Confronted Biden at COP26

Sonali Kolhatkar speaks with Dr. Michael Charles, Diné (Navajo), Post-Doctoral Fellow at The Newark Earthworks Center

Indigenous leaders from the United States traveled all the way to Glasgow, Scotland, to confront President Joe Biden at the United Nations COP 26 climate meeting. As part of the campaign Build Back Fossil Free, activists are continuing actions that began in Washington D.C. and demanding that Mr. Biden make climate justice central to his agenda.

Rising Up With Sonali was built on the foundation of Sonali Kolhatkar's earlier show, Uprising, which became the longest-running drive-time radio show on KPFK in Los Angeles hosted by a woman.
