FIFA's Award to the U.S. Women's Soccer Team Perfectly Illustrates Gender Pay Inequality

Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Representing the 12th District of New York, talks with Bill Press about the women's USA soccer team only making $2 million from FIFA for winning the World Cup. The US men's team, by contrast was given $8 million, but were defeated in the first round, and $35 million was given to Germany's men's team for winning the men's World Cup. This is just another example of pay inequality between men and women who statistically continue to make only $0.77 for every $1 that their male counterparts make.
