Nationally renowned epidemiologist and Vanderbilt Medical School professor Dr. Bill Schaffner joins us for an update on Covid-19. As Covid mitigation measures continue to be relaxed across the country, it looks like things are getting back to normal. On today's show, Dr. Schaffner discusses the transition from pandemic to endemic as well as the new Covid booster shot that is the first to target the Omicron subvariants. We also discuss the Biden administration's controversial decision to discontinue providing at-home tests and the likely disproportionate impact this will have on low-income Americans.
